
Galle
Galle is the provincial capital and largest city of Southern Province, Sri Lanka and is the capital of Galle District. The historic section of the city, containing a fort and other colonial- era buildings, was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1988. Galle is a city situated on the southwestern tip of Sri Lanka. A fortified city built by Europeans in south and Southeast Asia, showing the interaction between European architectural styles and south Asian traditions.
