Polonnaruwa/ Habarana
Attractions After breakfast, we drive to the UNESCO World Heritage Site Polonnaruwa. On the
way to Habarana, you can visit Polonnaruwa. The area of this
UNESCO World Heritage site is vast and houses stone temple statues, ancient
irrigation systems, Buddha statues, and 1,000-year-old stupas. The area of the "Sacred
City" in Polonnaruwa is divided into four zones: the Citadel, the King's City, the Northern Group, and
Southern Group. In Polonnaruwa’s archaeological park, you will first discover royal palaces,
one of them belonging to King Parakramabahu. The Sacred Quadrangle includes Sathmahal Prasadaya, a
pyramidal seven-story structure, the circular Vatadage relic house,
various relic houses, and the stone book Gal Pota. Particularly impressive is
the rock temple Gal Vihara, featuring four Buddha statues carved into a single rock.

Kataragama/ Tissamaharamaya
Attractions After breakfast, you will drive to Tissamaharama. Continue on to
Kataragama. The temple complex there is possibly the only place where Hindus,
Buddhists, and Muslims can peacefully and collectively practice their religions in one place.
Particularly interesting at the temple is the offering ritual,
in which devotees honor coconuts by forcefully throwing them on the ground,
causing them to shatter, thereby fulfilling their wishes.

Attractions : Drive to Unawatuna. You can visit the turtle hatchery
along the way. You may also see stilt fishermen. In the evening, visit
the main attraction of the city of Galle, which includes the Dutch Fort, the picturesque Grote Kerk
(Grote Kerk), a 150-year-old Meera Mosque, a clock tower built from massive stone blocks,
more hotels, churches, restaurants, galleries, cafes, bars, shops, and
museums. The fort and its remnants are definitely worth a visit. The
Dutch church is highly recommended to visit due to its Dutch Brabantine
